Eligible FirstEnergy customers may be able to complete portions of their hardship program grant application through Dollar Energy Fund’s online MyApp portal.

Only continue on to MyApp if you meet the following requirements:

For Penn Power customers, service is off only. For Met-Ed, Penelec, and West Penn Power customers, grant funds have been exhausted and the program is now closed.

Have made a payment of at least $150 on their accounts in the past three months. (Senior Citizens, age 62 and over, must have paid at least $100 on their accounts.)

Have an outstanding balance on your utility bill of at least $100. (Senior Citizens, age 62 and over, may have a $0 balance as long as there is no existing credit on the account.)

If your household income is below 150% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines and you have never been enrolled in FirstEnergy’s Customer Assistance Program (PCAP), you are not eligible for a hardship grant because FirstEnergy may defer your balance owed.
